Record breaking 171 home-baked lasagne prepared by volunteer chefs
A second round of Lasagna Love was held Feb 15th to express gratitude and love for our extraordinary Lab faculty and staff during these exceptional times. A record breaking 171 home-baked lasagne were prepared by volunteer chefs from 105 Lab community kitchens!
To unlock the gourmet within our volunteer chefs, the PA and Gratitude Project hosted a live cooking class starring Lab faculty member and parent, chef Kit San Fratello. Held Saturday, February 13, from 4 to 5 pm, volunteers learned to craft perfect lasagna and grissini (those little italian bread sticks)! We connected our kitchens virtually and enjoyed the day inside together!
A big thank you to Kit San Fratello -- during her class, our star chef made us feel as though we could open our own restaurant! We had a great turn out for the class, and a wide school representation (of students and families); a great way for our Lab community to connect in a fun way.
Please feel free to call or text Kit with questions at 773.203.2978. She is happy to support you and your cooking dreams and endeavors.
Did you miss this fun and lively event? No worries! Contact the Gratitude Project for access to watch the recording.
A video compilation depicting our second Lasagna Love edition will be prepared by the High School Student Council, and we are grateful for their leadership and support!
To those who participated, please send pictures and video to be included in the compilation.
