Iranian Families and Friends
The Iranian Families and Friends group is an opportunity - for Iranians and non-Iranians :) - to gather and celebrate the 2,500+ year rich and diverse history of Iran. We celebrate the ancient Iranian holidays of Shabe Yalda and Nowruz during the school year. We host storytime sessions at ESH's Lim Family Library and host gatherings throughout the year to connect with new and old friends over authentic Iranian cuisine. We also partner regularly with the University of Chicago's ISAC Museum, which holds a large collection of ancient Iranian artifacts. We hope our activities inspire the descendents of ancient Iranians (and their friends!) to be proud of their heritage, by bringing Iran's beautiful culture and history to Lab. We look forward to engaging with you at a future event!
